Communicate the Plan
Team leaders, salesmen, managers and employees often keep their plan to succeed to themselves, leaving the team powerless and failure inevitable. Your goals and objectives for any plan need to be communicated clearly; especially, when tough times demand employees to tackle multiple tasks and wear numerous hats. Lack of communication creates rumors, distractions and ultimately failure. Get your team on board. Create a plan that is flexible, as today’s information and anticipated sales are rapidly changing and unpredictable. Every week I hear from colleagues and friends of another company layoff and employees taking on another task, creating some worry and unknowns. My only advice is to learn as much as you can, diversify your talents and never stop learning. Communicate your plan to other employees and work as a team.
