Default Safety

possibly a section dedicated to general heat treat equipment operation and maintenance "safety" would be a good idea, eh?

I agree with you Alan. Another request has been to add a section on training. I think both are good ideas, and may work well in a combined section called Safety/Training. However, for the time being, I would like to limit the number of sections for ease of use. When we get enough posts on the Safety/Training topic I can create the new section and move all of the relevant posts into that new sections.
